WELCOME TO HUMANE IN THE MEMBRANE, LLC!

MEET THE FOUNDER
I build transformational capacity at the intersection of learning, leadership, and systems design.
OUR ORIGIN STORY
"We work with heart — in every system, lesson, and leader we build."
You know that moment when your vision feels clear, but the path to get there doesn't? That space between knowing what's possible and figuring out how to make it happen — that's where Humane in the Membrane began.
Over the years, as a coach, leader, curriculum and instructional designer, I saw too many gaps between vision and execution. Leaders with big ideas, but no clear roadmap. Teams with heart, but no structure. People ready to make an impact, but overwhelmed with how to navigate complex systems and unclear processes.
I started Humane in the Membrane because I believe alignment between learning, leadership, and systems changes everything. When those three work together, the experience for people — their growth, their clarity, their confidence — becomes transformational. Strategy alone isn't enough. The how has to be as human as the why.
Because transformation isn't a moment. It's a capacity you build.

OUR CLIENTS
We partner with mission-driven leaders and organizations who are ready to close the gap between vision and execution:
Nonprofits and social enterprises — across any sector, strengthening the capacity to deliver on mission
Faith-based institutions and programming — building the infrastructure to sustain ministry and community impact
Early-stage consultants — building a service-based practice from the ground up
Tech startups building for good — organizations focused on social impact or behavioral health outcomes
Leaders and teams — navigating the day-to-day reality of turning strategy into action
Organizations already past the planning stage — who have a strategic plan and are stuck in implementing it
What unites my clients? They operate on a people-over-profit model. They have an ear to the ground — they know what's actually happening in their organization, not just what the plan says should be happening. And they're willing to take an adaptive approach: testing, learning, and pivoting, rather than following a fixed plan that doesn't bend to reality.
Why We Should Work Together:
We design curriculum, training, and professional development that's culturally responsive, skills-focused, and built for real application — not just information delivery.
We coach and develop leaders and teams through structured, capacity-building support that creates confident decision-makers and aligned teams.
We design infrastructure, processes, and communication systems that serve people — reducing chaos and freeing leaders to focus on mission, not firefighting.

LIFE OUTSIDE THE WORK
When we're not building transformation capacity with clients, you'll find Christina immersed in art, creativity, and holistic well-being — channeling creativity through music, writing, podcasting, and ancient healing practices. In her downtime, she enjoys yoga, gardening, studying Korean, performing, and hiking with her daughter, Aden, and their Yorkie, PeeWee.
Christina lives and works in Denver, Colorado, where she's deeply involved in community work that reflects the values she brings to her consulting practice. She serves on the Denver Urban Gardens Change Committee and participates in the Education and Access Committees, working to bring equitable access to communities with limited food sovereignty. She also supports the Denver Youth Resilience Committee in youth drug and violence prevention efforts — work informed by her specialized training in youth violence prevention and substance abuse prevention. She also serves as an advisor on several outreach committees supporting early-stage tech and education startups.
Additionally, she mentors and coaches young adults as they navigate the transition from high school to college to career and life — work she's now formalizing into Humanely U(You), a mentorship program currently in development, helping participants build the clarity, confidence, and capacity to thrive.
Christina is also an alumna of five small business accelerators, including Sea Change — a competitive cohort for social enterprise founders, where Humane in the Membrane was selected as one of only 15 businesses statewide in the region.

"For me, transformation work isn't just
professional — it's personal.
Building capacity, creating equity, and
supporting communities to thrive is
what drives everything I do."
HOW WE WORK
We believe transformation happens when strategy meets heart — when we honor both rigor and humanity, both structure and soul.
Core Beliefs:
Systems Should Serve People
Too often, people are asked to contort themselves to fit broken systems. We design systems that actually support the humans within them.
Empathy and Excellence Aren't Opposites
The most effective strategies are grounded in deep listening, cultural responsiveness, and genuine care — alongside research, rigor, and results.
Capacity Building > One-Time Fixes
We're not interested in creating dependency. Our goal is to build your team's capacity to sustain transformation long after our engagement ends.
Implementation Matters More Than Ideas
Great ideas mean nothing if they can't be implemented. Everything we create is designed for real-world action and sustainability.

OUR METHODOLOGY
Every engagement we lead is guided by the HEART Framework™ — our proprietary methodology for building transformation capacity. It ensures every solution we design is people-centered, actionable, and built to last.
